Statement of Environmental Policy

The environmental goals of the Marvin Windows and Doors organisation are to meet or exceed applicable environmental laws and regulations and to protect our environment. This commitment is fulfilled by incorporating environmental priorities into the design of products, services and facilities, and by minimizing the environmental impact during the production of products and manufacturing operations. It is Marvin Windows and Doors priority to continually improve in pollution prevention, waste management and recycling, and to educate employees, communities and customers on responsible environmental practices.

It all comes down to a simple philosophy: forward thinking. At Marvin, the environment is everyone's responsibility.

Statement of Sustainable Forestry Management

Marvin Windows and Doors has a genuine appreciation for the critical role forests play in the quality of life within the global ecosystems. They continue to support sustainable forestry management and are committed to conserving natural resources, including efforts to preserve old growth and ancient rain forests.

This commitment is reflected in their actions:

• Marvin Windows and Doors mainly utilizes pine in the manufacture of wood windows and doors, a resource not associated with rain forests.
• Marvin Windows and Doors purchases from reliable raw lumber suppliers with sound forest management practices, which subscribe to the Sustainable Forest Initiative (SFI) promoting good forest stewardship.
• Marvin Windows and Doors is a Charter Member of the Forest Products Management and Development Institute at the University of Minnesota.
• Marvin Windows and Doors recycles and reuses wood by finger-jointing and edge gluing scrap material to form usable pieces and utilize wood shavings to heat its Warroad facility.
• For nearly a decade, Marvin Windows and Doors has actively participated in forest management education programs, including the distribution of more than 4,000 tree seedlings to employees and surrounding communities each year.
• Marvin Windows and Doors supports the Windows and Doors Manufacturing Association (WDMA) Green Task Force Statement of Beliefs.
