In addition to these feature windows, Marvin architectural provided French doors
combined with the same sunburst glazing bar patterned half circle round tops and
accompanied by Victorian style sliding sashes on either side. The final touch
came in the form of curved head dormer sliding sashes windows, which also followed
the same Victorian style glazing bar pattern. As you can see from the elevations
and photographs, the architectural vision for this project has clearly come to life.
Not only are Marvin Windows and Doors beautiful and aesthetically pleasing, they
are also high performance. All windows and doors offered by Marvin Architectural
employ soft coat Low E II glazing. This is a second generation glass which features
two panes of glass with a layer that reduces heat gain in the summer months and
heat loss in the winter. The space between the panes can be filled with argon gas
as an additional barrier. Low E II also filters UV rays, which helps reduce
fading in carpets and furniture.
